Episode 24: Clearing the fog - approach to chronic vision loss

In this episode of MedTalk, Dr Razavi takes us through the evaluation and assessment of chronic vision loss. Chronic vision loss is an important and common presentation to GPs and hospital departments. We run through the thought process behind evaluating the cause of chronic vision loss and highlight the five most common causes of chronic vision loss. We then progress through a case study of a typical patient who presents with chronic vision loss. As part of this we also touch on ocular manifestations of drug toxicity which can be important in describing in hospitals and outpatient GP settings.
